OPTUM Health is a health information technology and services firm that provides an extensive network of providers, innovative tools that improve access to care, and other resources so that members can be more engaged in their own wellness. A sampling of services includes;

  • Professional counselors: Get on-the-spot advice over the phone or a referral to work with a professional counselor face-to-face. District employees and their eligible family members receive eight (8) face-to-face visits each calendar year, covered at 100%.
  • Legal assistance: Receive a free initial 30-minute phone or in-person consultation with a local attorney or mediator. Additional services are available at a 25% discount with network attorneys and mediators.
  • Financial advice: Free phone consultations are available with credentialed financial counselors for assistance with budgeting, debt management, retirement planning and other financial concerns. 

As of July 2020, District employees get free access to Sanvello—a top-rated self-help app that uses clinically-validated techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy to help relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. FREE Information and Referrals from OPTUM Health

OPTUM Health, through WorkLife Services, offers you and your loved ones information and referrals for many of your personal needs. Call a specialist and receive personalized consultation and referrals. Specialists focus on the possibilities to overcoming personal obstacles and opportunities to improving the quality of your life. They'll do the research and provide a list of service options. You can receive information on a variety of services, including:

  • Adult/Elder Support Services. For people who are caring for adult and elder dependents, including caregiving, housing, transportation, and meal services.
  • Child/Parenting Support Services. Answers to parenting questions, resources for daycare, summer camps, adoption, and sick-child care.
  • Household Services. Plumbers who work evenings, housekeepers, carpenters, dry cleaners, auto repair shops, electricians, and landscapers.
  • Chronic Condition Support. Non-medical support and resources for conditions like diabetes, arthritis or asthma.
  • Health and Wellness. Fitness centers, urgent care clinics, and all-night pharmacies.
  • Personal Services. Apartment brokers, caterers, tailors, translators, and dog walkers.

Our partners at CredibleMind recognize the importance of taking care of your emotional health, especially during unprecedented times like the recent COVID-19 pandemic, and are committed to providing resources to support you. They are a group of academicians and scientists who have developed a site targeted at optimizing mental health, emotional well-being, and spiritual growth. Employees can access information in a variety of ways, based on personal preference – ranging from videos, podcasts, articles, apps, and more.
